M-cyclist killed in LD crash

Lahad Datu: A 47-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a four-wheel-drive vehicle at Km 34 along Jalan Lahad Datu-Tungku, here, Wednesday. District Police Chief ACP Hamzah Ahmad on Thursday identified the man as plantation foreman Muhammad Agung Amil Hassan. It was learnt that the 3.20pm incident took place as the car was heading towards Lahad Datu town from Tungku, while the motorcyclist came from the opposition direction. "Preliminary investigation found that the car driver lost control of the vehicle which cut into the opposite lane before crashing into the motorcycle.
