No district left out of development: Musa

Beluran: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman reiterated that no district in the State has been left out in terms of development, including those in the interior.He said the State Government has never taken lightly the needs of every district, which is why the State Cabinet members are always reminded to do their job on the ground and be familiar with what needs to be done."Ground visits are important because through such visits they'd know what sort of development that has been implemented, which ones are ongoing, what more can be proposed and also what are the needs of the people," he said. ADVERTISEMENT He said this when launching the Sedcovest Sdn Bhd shoplots and Sabah Urban Development Corporation building, here, Thursday.During his working visit, Musa also met with local community leaders whom he assured of the Government's seriousness in making their lives better, socio-economically.Leading a big delegation comprising State Cabinet Ministers, elected representatives and government officials, Musa was also briefed on the various development programmes and projects in Beluran, Telupid, Paitan sub-district and Sugut.Among those accompanying him were Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Raymond Tan, Sedcovest Holdings Sdn Bhd Chairman cum Sugut Assemblyman Datuk James Ratib, Assistant Finance Minister Datuk Seri Michael Asang and Beluran District Officer Suhaili Riman.ADVERTISEMENT He was also pleased to note that other than the promising future in these districts in terms of infrastructure development, bright future awaits the young people by virtue of their excellent academic results, some of which were announced to be the best in the State, particularly in the last year's STPM examination.He also launched Anjung Muara Beluran, a new and exciting commercial development with modern features, which is expected to transform the district's landscape once completed.

The company, he said, has also invested a total of RM102 million throughout the State to provide premises for budding entrepreneurs to develop their business.He added that the company also has trained 10,000 people on entrepreneurship other than 5,000 secondary school students on starting a small business. - Mardinah Jikur
