'Wrong way' teen driver to be charged with causing death

GEORGE TOWN: The part-time model who allegedly drove against traffic and killed a man on the North-South Expressway will be charged under Section 44 of the Road Transport Act 1987.A police spokesman said Ng Pei Ven, 19, will be charged at the Bukit Mertajam Magistrate's Court today (Friday) under the Act for driving under the influence of drugs and causing the death or injury to any persons.The offence carries a maximum jail sentence of 10 years and RM20,000 fine upon conviction.
