Earlier in the semi-finals, both matches were decided by penalties with Tabs winning 5-4 against Laos FC and a 2-1 win for DPM over Jubilo. Fifth place was won by Box Hill from Australia who beat Tabs Menggatal 2-1 while LPDKK took the seventh spot with a 2-1 over Sporting Kinabalu.
