Check certs of job applicants with MQA, employers urged

Kuala Lumpur: Employers are advised to refer to the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) to check the certificates of job applicants to avoid being cheated by fake diploma and degree, which has become rampant lately. Every recruitment agency or employer must check first with MQA whether the IPT exists or not. "They also need to check the name of a programme to find out whether it (the course) is offered at the IPT involved as stated on the diploma or degree of the candidates who were looking for job," he said here, Saturday.
